Welcome to Westside Children's Ministry

TO CREATE the most innovative and imaginative Children's Ministry that brings the love of Jesus to the next generation.(Only take heed, and guard your life diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen and lest they depart form you. Teach them to your children and your children's children. Deut 4:9)
TO PROVIDE a safe environment where children will find a relationship with Jesus simply irresistible. (But Jesus said, Suffer the little children and forbid them not to come unto me; for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19:14)
TO PARTNER with families in the study and practice of God. (These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deut 6:6-7)
TO SEE AND DEVELOP the destiny within each child to its fullest potential.(For we are God's handiwork recreated in Christ Jesus that we may do those good works which God predestined for us, taking paths which He prepared ahead of time that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10)
TO SEEK adults who have a heart for children and a passion for Christ.(It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service. Ephesians 4:11-12)

Parents may begin checking children in at 10:00 am and need to come downstairs and sign their child out after service.
We may play on the playground or watch a movie (depending on the weather) until 10:30 am.
We begin at 10:30 am with praise and worship.
At 11:00 am the children break into age groups: 4 year olds; 5-6 year olds; 7-8 year olds; 9-10 year olds and 5th and 6th grades, where they will have a lesson, craft and game, at 11:30 am they rotate to a different class where they again have a different lesson, craft and game.
5^th and 6^th grade students have their lesson in the brown house across the street. They get into more of an interactive bible study, where they will participate in the bible reading and lessons.

On Wednesday night we live out Acts 2:42 NKJV which says: "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
We begin Check in at 6:30 pm, your child will need signed out after service.
We allow the children to play outside, watch a movie, or play games (depending on the weather) until we start the check in process, which allows plenty of time for fellowship.
After we are all checked in and hands are washed, dinner is served (breaking of bread), each week we have a healthy, kid-friendly dinner and yummy dessert!
After dinner we break into smaller groups which 4-6 year olds, 7-9 year olds, 10-12 year olds.
